- Handling Precautions:
Physical-chemical hazards Flash point=35°C(tag closed cup) Risk of explosion
if heated under confinement. Vapors of ethyl benzene may form an explosive
mixture with air (explosive limits of EB in volume: 1.0-7.8%)
- Health Hazards:
DNBP is toxic by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed.
Irritating to eyes. May cause harm to the unborn child. Possible risk of impaired
fertility. Contact with skin may involve yellow coloration of skin and hair.
- Environmental
hazards: DNBP is very toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long
term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.
- Recommendation:
Wear gloves, safety goggles, gas mask with organic vapor canister and protective
clothing.In case of inhalation, remove form exposure area to fresh air. Get
medical attention immediately. In case of eye contact, wash immediately with
plenty of water at least 15 minutes. In case of skin contact, wash immediately
with large amounts of water and soap at least 15 minutes. In both cases, consult
a physician if irritation continues.
- Destruction:
Incinerate in an alkaline smoke washing authorized area.
- Storage:
Stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area isolated from heat and from
all ignition sources. Above 60°C(140°F), the product may degrade to form tars
during prolonged heating. In case of prolonged storage, it is recommended
to check again the quality of the product before use.
- Transport:
Handle gently. Isolated from heat and from all ignition resources. Refer to
the Material Safety Data Sheet
